August Meeting

This will be the second of this year’s meetings to be held at Lake Monger Community Shed and promises to have as many different topics as we could find.

We have worked hard to find presenters that are as different as possible but still essential to whatever project you are currently working on.

This will be a roundtable meeting with four experts giving you the benefit of their experience before moving around to the next subject, now I know you will find each one informative as well as being different.

We have Con Badenhorst from Felder talking about the equipment they had supplied and their latest models.

Paddy Baker will tell us all about knife making and bring along a selection to show us.

Now we are putting together a new workshop, which will be all about “Embellishments” so by way of introducing this concept, we have invited Basia Lamb to talk about her “Pyrography” workshops, show us how to use this craft and examples of what can be achieved.

Kim Horne will talk about gilding and some of the different techniques he uses to take his ideas and sculptures and make them into award winning works of art.

I am sure we will have something new and haven’t seen before so come along and join us for a meeting you will not want to miss.
