June Meeting

A friendly reminder about our meeting (Monday, June 9). Please arrive in time for a 7 PM start. The venue opens at 6:30pm, so if you can help with setting up, that would be greatly appreciated!

Date & Time:       Monday, 9 June 2025, 7 to 9 PM.

Venue:                 Lake Monger Community Shed, 146 Gregory Street, Wembley

Format:                Round-robin format with an emphasis on techniques, tips, and a trick or two.

The line up for the evening:

• Ian Houghton:    Scrapers – The Close Shave: From gooseneck to convex, burnish your knowledge and finesse your technique with every type of scraper.
• Kevin Luff:           Spokeshaves – Put the curve back into your craft with a flat or round-bottomed, convex/concave, or even a combo, there’s a spokeshave for every twist.
• Stan Keen:           Hand Planes – The art of the smooth move and the perfectly curled shaving.

There’ll also be time for a cuppa and a chat—plus a chance to win in the raffle!

Please wear closed toe shoes, bring your own cup, sign in upon arrival, let us know if you prefer not to have your photo taken, and take care in the venue.
